To mark The Courage To Come Back Awards, presented by Wheaton Precious Metals on May 29th, many of Vancouver’s key landmarks including BC Place, City Hall and the Vancouver Convention Centre, will be lighting up in gold and blue!

In a year like no other, Coast Mental Health Foundation is celebrating the 23rd Courage To Come Back Awards presented by Wheaton Precious Metals in an all-new format: with a 30 minute commercial-free TV Show airing on Global TV and streaming CityNews1130.com on May 29 at 5pm.

Hosted by Olympian, former Vancouver Canucks goaltender, and Mental Health advocate Corey Hirsch, the program will celebrate the inspiring journeys of five award recipients across the following categories: Addiction, Mental Health, Physical Rehabilitation, Medical and Youth. Each has overcome extraordinary adversity to come back, and give back to their community.

Viewers will also be able to see their donations hard at work with stories from the front lines at Coast Mental Health, as the event raises critical funds for people living with mental illness here in BC.

And, thanks to the generosity of Lorne Segal, the Segal Family Foundation, Terry Hui and Concord Pacific, all donations up to $200,000 will be matched, dollar for dollar!

“Never have these stories of resilience and strength been more relevant than now.

“As the Chair of Coast Mental Health’s Courage To Come Back Awards for 16 years now, I am proud to know these stories of human triumph over adversity will reach so many at a time when hope is so important. I do hope you will save the date and join us (virtually!) on May 29th.” Lorne Segal, O.B.C, Chair of The Courage To Come Back Awards and President of Kingswood Properties comments.

The following landmarks will be lighting up:
May 27th: Vancouver Convention Centre.
May 29th: City Hall & BC Place
