When Youth Services End, We Are Here to Bridge the Gap
Why Transitional Support Matters
Young adults aging out of child and youth-focused mental health services often face a critical care gap due to the lack of transitional services. Participating in adult mental health services can be challenging and overwhelming at such a vulnerable period in their lives.
Coast Mental Health bridges that gap through our Young Adult Program and Youth Recovery Program, offering: trauma-informed supports, skills training, peer connection and culturally inclusive activities. These programs help people aged 19–32 (19–30 in the Youth Recovery program) build independence and thrive.
From music and art therapy to brain training, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) clinical referrals, employment and education support, and safe spaces for community—these programs create the continuity young people need.
