“We’re focused on bringing people indoors and delivering safe, secure homes for the people that need them,” said Christine Boyle, Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs. “We’re building the foundation for people to move forward in their lives with stability and dignity by offering people a safe place to stay, alongside supports that offer healing and treatment.”

“Rivers Reach is a heartwarming example of what we can achieve when we work together,” said Lisa Beare, MLA for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows. “By partnering with service providers like Coast Mental Health, we’re continuing to deliver homes in Maple Ridge where people feel safe and supported, and building a stronger, healthier community for everyone.”

These permanent homes have replaced the temporary modular units at Royal Crescent, which has been removed to make way for new affordable housing for seniors. No residents from Royal Cresent were left without a home, with most choosing to move to these new homes at Rivers Reach.
