SUPPORT IN CRISIS?

Coast Mental Health was Featured in CTV Vancouver’s Series on B.C.’s Toxic Drug Crisis

We’re proud to share that Coast Mental Health was featured in the final segment of CTV Vancouver’s four-part series on the toxic drug crisis in British Columbia. The segment includes a powerful interview with our CEO, Keir Macdonald, and Emily Grant, Program Manager at Pacific Coast Apartments.

In conversation with journalist Penny Daflos, Keir emphasized a critical truth:

“Recovery does not end when you are discharged from a treatment program. That is the most vulnerable time for many people. Housing and wraparound supports are vital steps that can set people on a strong path forward.”

Emily added her client-facing perspective:

“We support our tenants with everyday needs and personal goals—from appointment reminders to rejoining the workforce. Having a safe place to call home makes all the difference.”

This media spotlight reinforces our core belief at Coast Mental Health: recovery is possible when people are provided with a strong foundation of support services, housing, and education.
