Supportive Housing

Supportive housing provides safe, affordable homes with on-site supports for people who need extra help to live independently. In BC, supportive housing means residents have a private place to live, help from trained staff, and access to programs like life skills training, health care, and community supports. It’s designed for people at risk of homelessness, living with persistent mental illness or substance use challenges, while facing barriers to stable housing.

At Coast Mental Health, our supportive housing sites provide safe, affordable, permanent homes for nearly 500 people living with persistent mental illness. These homes offer stability and a foundation for long-term recovery. With trained staff on-site, residents receive support with daily living, wellness, community connection, and recovery plans that focus on building essential life skills.
