Free daily snacks & hot drinks provide a unique opportunity for staff and volunteers to connect with folks experiencing homelessness, mental health or substance use challenges. This connection is key to opening the door to their recovery.

Participants gain confidence, lift their mood by regulating negative thoughts, improve their mental health and learn to use music as a coping mechanism and relaxation.

$30 provides a month of musical therapy.

$100 provides a month of peer support.

The Peer Support Program teaches participants how to use their firsthand experiences with mental illness and the challenges of recovery in roles that support other clients as they themselves gain invaluable work experience, purpose and income.

COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS
TRANSFORM LIVES

The following are just a few examples of how becoming a Community Champion can change the lives of people living with mental illness.

The costs used in this appeal are averages and the stories told represent Coast Mental Health’s work across the Lower Mainland. Your donations are distributed where needed most to achieve maximum effectiveness for the most vulnerable. All donations will be used for board-approved programs and projects. In case where donations exceed what is needed, CMHF will redirect funds to similar activities to help people in need.

Monthly donations go further

It's effective

Monthly donations significantly reduce the administrative costs associated with payment processing and tax receipting, so more of the money you donate goes directly to supporting programs and services.

Knowing that the amount I donate can give someone access to a hot meal, a place to feel safe and supported, or resources for their recovery -- it's truly a no-brainer.

I donate monthly because it makes the process effortless, while also maximizing my donation. It's impossible to ignore how great the need is in the Lower Mainland for the services that Coast provides.

I encourage anyone in the position to donate monthly to do so. What can buy you a coffee every day could also save someone's life.

Join me as a Coast Community Champion and give monthly.
