Sewing with Heart

Sewing with Heart supports our clients who are interested in employment as sewers through our membership in the Common Thread Co-operative.
 
Goals of the Common Thread Co-operative are:

• To provide income, work opportunities and skill development for people with barriers to employment.
• To provide opportunities to work in a flexible business venture that engages in ethical business practices.

Our Sewing with Heart clients participate in the Common Thread production network where affordable high quality products are designed and created.  The Common Thread Co-op products are made from colourful, durable and washable re-purposed street banners or other similar recycled fabric.  All the products can be designed to include your label sewn into an inside or outside seam.

Some of the products the co-operative produces include:

• Tote Bags
• Drawstring Backpacks
• Lunch Bags
• Aprons
