Homeless Outreach Program
Coast Outreach provides low-barrier, client-centred, front-line harm reduction supports and services to individuals in the Downtown South Area. The Outreach program is committed to promoting mutual respect and dignity. We strive to recognize and celebrate strengths and differences within each individual.Services offered:
- Fast track appointment with income assistance (welfare)
- Single Room Occupancy (SRO) hotel lists and availability
- Support with housing searches and securing available accommodations. Assistance with housing applications and follow-up
- Shelter lists and availability
- ID Replacement (birth certificate, care card, social insurance, BC photo I.D.)
- Harm reduction resources
- Showers
- Mental health support and referrals on site
- Referrals to healthcare and addiction services in the community
- Ongoing support
